Can anyone recommend a good non-emergency medical transportation company in Knoxville? Thanks.

Thanks for the post.

I never consider Uber for medical transportation. I a referring to where a medical facility requires a patient be accomplished by an adult. I believe the reason is that with many procedures/tests a patient leaves a facility partially affected by the sedation and an unknown person providing a ride may not always be trustworthy.

When I lived in another city with Bayada Nurses I could get a non emergency transport with them for a fee. It was well worth as no one who might help lost and time at work. Unfortunately, Knoxville does not have a Bayada Nurse.

I don't see any reason why you could not just use Uber for the ride there and then back. Just show them the app and tell them your ride is arriving downstairs.

Thanks for the posts.

I will give Uber a call and see what they say. I will also check ETHRA.

I also apologize for my auto spell.

Call your doctor and ask your doctor.

Lyft is another option. My relative who suffers from metastatic lung cancer is dealing with this right now. His issue is that he's not mobile enough to get himself down the stairs and into a vehicle. Is this an issue for you?

This is the ONLY answer. The doctor will decide who they will allow to drive you home. Uber, Lyft or anyone can't make that decision. Also, rideshare will happily get you from point A to point B, but they will not be responsible for someone's medical welfare. I've had procedures done and the doctor would not allow me to be picked up by Uber or Lyft, just a friend or family member.
