Can anyone tell me about any walking trails nearby? Maybe near a playground for my little guys?

Once we move, I can probably walk around the neighborhood every evening, but I would also like to hear about places near a playground if there are any

Thanks!!

There's an interactive map of city parks and greenways here:
City of Knoxville Parks and Greenways Map
Takes forever to load.
Knoxville has a lot of nice parks and kid play areas. Where are you moving to?

Hi Mystic,

I'm not sure how far up that is or what's around there but here in West Hills there is a really nice greenway. It's the Jean Teague Greenway and it has wide open spaces, playgrounds, b-ball courts and tennis courts. It's really nice and the paved walking path is excellent for exercise.

We've only been here a month, so I'm not sure exactly where you are, but most of the parks in Knoxville seem to have nice walking paths, which is nice, lots of creeks. They don't all have playgrounds though. Knoxmoms.com has a pretty thorough review of the area parks. I've found it helpful.

Thanks for the link, knoxgarden. We can always count on you for all the best information on Knoxville, gardens, parks, etc.

And, you are right, LCG, that is a very pretty area. DH and I drove through that area and walked a bit, twice our last trip up to Knox. Very nicely laid out!

Thanks, gngmurphy. That is a nice site and the parks in Knoxville are wonderful.

AND, you don't even have to be a mom with young kids to enjoy them!! We, big, old moms like them, too!
