What happens in Tennessee if someone closes and overdrawn checking account? I was a few dollars overdrawn, now I have an avalanche on my hands...the bank is charging me ungodly overdraft fees and penalties by the day.....the few checks I wrote do not add up to the nearly 1,000.00 in fees. i don't know if I should call the places i wrote the checks to, or close the account or both. I feel like an idiot and i have no idea how to get out of this nightmare!! HELP!!!!

Go talk to the bank people, in person, now. Try to stop this before it gets any larger. Good luck!
