It's safe! I love it here! I've lived a few places, including California (it looks like you are currently in CA?) But "good place to move" is kinda vague - what kind of place are you into? Suburbia? Downtown lofts? We need a little more to go on.

Smile read other threads

Spend a few days reading the threads on the Knoxville forum. You will get a pretty good idea of what we are like here. Knoxville is nothing like Memphis, yet both are in TN. They are light years apart in just about every way.

Just read the different threads - you will get a better idea than just some replies on this one.

Put on some music, grab a beverage of choice, and start reading away. Pretty soon you will feel like you are one of us, without even being here.

Knoxville is not "close to The South." It is The South.

Why does the thought of living in The South make you nervous?

GSXR_Rider,
Don't move here.Wait a few years till you get a bit more mature and lose your preconcieved notions.

"big open fields"? Maybe you would prefer Nebraska?

Huh? Sorry, but this thread just doesn't make sense. Questions being answered when there was no questions asked, such as about Memphis comparison and it doesn't look like anyone said anything about North verses South thing. I think someone has edited posts after they were answered and now the thread is all over the place. Time to close it and maybe the OP wants to try again.
