Hi everyone!
My husband and I are thinking quite seriously about relocating to Las Cruces. We're interested in safe, nice, and quiet area to rent a house. Can anyone make a recommendation? Also, not to far from stores.
Thanks.

You might want to look in the High Range/Missions/Sonoma Ranch/Las Alturas areas - they are quiet and close to a supermarket (Albertson's), Target, Walmart, Walgreen's, Best Buy, Old Navy, Sam's Club and so on. Also very close both hospitals, the mall and restaurants - both local and chains (Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, etc.) - and the movie theaters.

Default Relocation

Thanks for taking the time to answer our post and give us some information. Have you lived in Las Cruces for a long time? Do you like it there?

This is my second winter here and I find that I like it more everyday (and I liked it from the first time I visited). The pace is very relaxed, everyone I've met has been very friendly and I always find something to do. Compared to where I was living before, I am in very close proximity to shopping and I don't have to fight traffic or listen to sirens and planes flying overhead all day. And, seeing the Organ Mts. everyday and stars at night is an extra-added bonus.

Have you visited Las Cruces or anywhere else in New Mexico?

Smile Relocation

No we've never visited NM before but my husband and I lived in Tucson, AZ for quite a while. Hopefully we will be able to take a trip down there this summer. Our daughter wants to attend New Mexico State. She's got one more year of HS left so we're starting to check things out now.

Chesapeake? Whereabouts? I'm originally from the Tidewater area.

Interested in knowing what people think about the area around where I-25 intersects with 70. Am looking at renting a place around there.

Might be a little noisier than some other areas, but, as far as I know it's fine.
