But anyways about NMSU tuition I think it is around $1,500? that is slightly higher than UNM's $1,300. Someone correct me if i'm wrong?
That's the in state tuition. I am out of state, unless I get that scholarship I mentioned. Whether or not I get the scholarship will be a big factor in determining which college I go to (NMSU or University of Arizona). I don't know why you posted about UNM, but just to clear things up, I did not apply to UNM.

No. My question is how likely is it for out of state students to get the in state tuition scholarship?
I was only here for about 8 months, and I got in state. They never asked me for proof of residency either. I just went in one day and applied at the Bursar's office. Granted, I was only part time, but no one ever asked me for a driver's license.

They make some exceptions, most based on whether or not you/your family moved here for work (i.e. military). I would suggest calling them directly to see if anything can be worked out.
I do know that anyone who takes 6 credits or less per semester pays in-state tuition.
Aside from financial aid, they have a pretty good payment plan, where you can stretch the payments out across the semester. You just have to have paid off the previous semester before you register for the next one.
No, no, no. I wasn't talking about being classified as in state. I was talking about a scholarship out of state students can get and if they get the scholarship, they pay in state tuition (but they are classified as out of state still).
I checked New Mexico State's website and they said scholarship recipients will be notified by mail or email. If you don't win a scholarship, do they notify you that you didn't win? This scholarship will be a big factor in determining which college I choose. If I don't win, I don't want to be left hanging. If anyone happens to know the date they notify you by, that would help too.
