Have you heard of CARLOS RIVERA, he is the next Mayor of El Paso.

Why is he on this thread, because El Paso economic policies and quality of life issues will affect New Mexico residents working in El Paso and will provide a better place to visit and shop.

Take a minute and go to WWW.CARLOS4MAYOR.ORG

No he isn't.

They have elections in El Paso.....

No one has won the next election yet.....

Maybe I would prefer John Cook?

Rich, everyone understands that one's favorite is called the next office holder. You CAN vote for John Cook, if you want, no problem with me.

I would say, do you want more of the same. 9 million dollar budget shortfall, 500 million dollars in future debt, reduced city services, planned layoffs, shortage of safety personnel and no money to start new classes. I could on.

The important thing is if you live in El Paso, VOTE.

How do you know what everyone understands? What makes you think that I think that way? You are making some strong incorrect assumptions in my opinion...

I'm a New Mexico resident, so I can not vote for Mayor of El Paso, With eight people running for the position it may be interesting... So far I would vote for John Cook.

If you read the first comment, you will understand this is simply to provide insight to the New Mexico residents that work, shop or just vist, of what a candidate is offering.

Think or vote anyway you want, that's why we are in a Democracy. My assumption is reasonable as this is what MOST people understand. You are a Cook fan and that's ok.

I am only providing information in accordance with forum rules and will not enter into a debate with you.

luplor debated whether they were debating:

> I am only providing information ... and will not enter into a debate with you.

Your last two threads have been "debative" or "debate-like" IMO.

Keep it up. I'm enjoying it. No nastiness being flung around.

I'm kinda surprised 6/3 hasn't waded his formidable frame into this
"nondebate." He knows stuff.

Luplor has also started this in the Mexico and El Paso forums as i already gave him my opinion about starting this about Rivera and not others as it looked like spam but we discussed it .

Good to see you keep an watchful eye on these things Morti .

If anything was improper I am sure Bowie would told me.

It appears that you are disappointed that there was no nasty exchange. I am open to any candidate 's web site. If no one bothered to say anything about their favorite, that's up to them. 6 ft understands my intent and knows I do not violate the forum rules and do not get rude, have healthy respectful exchange but that doesnt mean I will accept insults either. I have defended others, on this forum, although their opinion was opposite of mine. There is plenty of room for all of us and let it end there.
