I'd like to have the bottom of a shower stall refinished. A google search reveals too many results to choose from. Anyone here have any experience using a company for refinishing a shower or tub that you'd recommend? Any input or advise would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

You talking about one of these coating operations?

You might also consider tiling it though that may not work if it is fibreglass...too flexible.

Yes, exactly. It is fiberglass (or something similar) and the walls are perfect, just the bottom needs refinishing. I've heard good things in the past about such work, just don't know who to use.

I read the following in a home inspection report. I do not have any 1st hand knowledge of them, however.

"Most of the production and custom home builders rely on a
company called "Surface Specialists Of Nevada Inc" to correct these
issues when they occur in new homes. Surface Specialists Of
Nevada Inc phone number is (702) 597-2022 and their web site is:
http://www.surfacespecialists.com/"

They sound pretty good. Push a reasonable rating with the BBB. Have had one run in with the contractor's board though it sounds more management technical than a consumer complaint. I would ask them about it. And if they don't know anything I would go elsewhere...

Thanks, I appreciate it. That was one of the results I got on an internet search. It was the only result that was a franchise operation, though. I haven't decided if I consider that a minus or a plus.
