Ha! Thanks for clarification. Unfortunately I always use the words "timing chain" regardless of if it is a belt or not (I can't control myself). That said, my S2000 does not have a belt....it has a chain so I'm good there, but I have to replace the belt on my gf's car.

what kind of car does she have AND on your s2000, the timing chain tensioner is notorious for failing.. this is a big money part... which you will need to replace eventually.

On the s2000s some guys are having the TCT fail between 10-20k miles. Mine is running strong at 65k. It is only a 1 hour job to replace yourself and there is a guy selling TCTs with the worm gear sandblasted on the S2KI forums, he guarantees it for life. I'll go with the modified TCT if mine ever kicks the bucket.

Timing chains. Right?

Since Realtors can't be outright recommended, I figure we can post *****(synonym for prostitute) here a little bit.
