I recently had a problem with a palm tree's root ball encroaching on the perimeter of my swimming pool. This caused a couple sections of the cool decking to raise up about 1/2 - 3/4 inch. Is it possible to have this section reinstalled? I have had the palm tree removed and the root ground down. See picture. Any recommendations on someone who might do this type of work? Thanks, Croce

Any of the pool guys will fix for not huge amount of money.

I think I would put four or five 55 gallon drums on there. Fill with water and wait a couple of weeks. Nothing like dead weight and time to move things back into place.

About 30 years. A canary date palm. Broke my heart to cut it down, but no alternative. Could not be removed whole.

That shouldn't be a problem to remove and replace that section off pool deck. If you know who built the pool, contact the builder and ask them for a bid. Or there is gun grade mastic you can fill the joint with to keep the cost down.

I think you could either grind that down yourself or hire someone cheaper than removing it. I would stick with a landscaper though rather than a pool company. Much less markup on labor.

I recently used a company called Iconic Construction to remove a large portion of cool deck in my back yard and they were very reasonable and quite good.
