Okay, the love of my life and I are driving from Mesa AZ to LV in the first week (mid week) of May, we will be on the strip, so what shall we do. The last time I was there was in 86 (19 not 18) and the last time for my wife was in 90. everything is going to be new. Not big gamblers (some slots) more for the food and the show any suggestions?
thanks in advance

How long will you be here? What is recommended will probably be based on how much time you have to do it.

the free (or almost free) must do's:
observation deck at the stratosphere, the bellagio fountains, TI shipwreck show, fremont street experience, go visit the Sahara before it closes, take a ride out to Red Rock Canyon or Mt. Charleston, see the overhead show in the Rio casino...

oh, and since you have your car, self parking is free at all casinos, so go check out all the hotels.... the best are, imo,
bellagio (see the conservatory), the venetian, encore, caesars, hard rock hotel for all the memorabilia...

and the list could go on and on

Since your driving, you gotta check out Hoover Dam.
On your way back drive thru Boulder City---purdy town

Lots of kool stuff here.....just get off that Strip.
Most people come here without a car--your fortunate in that u have one.
Use it!
To quote the one and only Jerry Garcia:

"Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart....you just gotta poke around!"

What they said ...and don't worry, it will take you three days to see the new stuff just walking (or driving) up and down the Strip. I'd see at least one show. This is one of, if not the, best. http://www.mirage.com/entertainment/love.aspx

Buzz, I have to disagree with ya on Love being the best show in Vegas.
I give high marks to "O" and even though he is a cheating fornicating traitor Terry Fator has a pretty good show as well.
