We're finally here - Sold our car in NY and have a rental right now.
I really don't want to rent for any longer than necessary and was hoping to get my NV license today or tomorrow, but....
I have all the required paperwork per the DMV's website have checked out the DMV offices/wait-times etc on this forum - filled in the forms from the website and saved them to my desktop and then realized that I have no printer until the moving truck gets here next week and the printer is unpacked and hooked up and hopefully working soooo was wondering if it's possible to lease with a NY license and hoping to avoid having to actually call and talk to a car salesperson.
Thanks in advance,
Pam

PS - any recommendations on really good sunglasses?

If possible, email the documents to yourself and go to a Kinko's to print out the stuff you'll need. Set up a new gmail account to use once at Kinko's if you're worried about using a public computer. Delete when done.

2 things:

other than the first suggestion by TPC2, you could also get a pocket flash drive to load the files,
and then off to a UPS store, office place, etc to print.

and

the other question to the lease with a NY DL: yes.

the former is easier, and you'll get your NV DL, which you need anyway.

We go to the DMV on Decatur and, honestly, I've never found it to be an excessively long wait. You wait, sure, like at any DMV, but it is quiet and well-organized and I just don't see what all the fuss is about. They have the form there and you can just fill them out again if you don't want to worry about printing them. That's what we did...I just filled them out while waiting on line.

I would say yes.
My wife just leased a Honda with only her MO dl.
Which btw if you have decent credit 720 or higher they have some incredible lease deals.
We got a 2011 Civic for $217/mo with tax. Much cheaper than renting her a car for the 3 months she will be without me and our current vehicle.

As far as sunglasses, you just can't beat a pair of "Cheap sunglasses"

As far as Sunglasses go get either polarized Maui Jims or Costa Del Mars. Prepare to spend at least $150. They are worth it.

I'm pretty sure that you will able to lease but if you give a local address you probably will have to update your license from the DMV
