We just signed a lease in Green Valley Ranch on a small house. Please tell me anything and everything about GVR. Thanks!

The first thing you have to know is that it is a name of a salad dressing.

It goes good on the tomato hornworms.

Why would you ask after you signed the lease?

Nice neighborhood. Good schools. Convenient to all sorts of things.

Nothing bad except it tends to be expensive.

Lol
Agreed, hope you did some homework first! That said, just moved here little over a month ago & I love it so far. I like to walk on the path along paseo verde (I think? Still bad with street names). Its beautiful with lots of shade & nearly everyone I pass says hello or good morning. On the down side we did already get a letter from the HOA about weeds in the front oh the house. Apparently our lease has no landscaping maintenance in it so DH has to take care of that. Found a nice dentist nearby on stephanie. Free outdoor movies at the district by the carousel on weekends (maybe all kids movies, haven't checked yet).

We like the look of the area and all the greenery and the house we leased was within our price range -- $1195 for a 2 bdr + den. Thanks for the info about the district -- I haven't checked that out yet, but it looks interesting as I drive by.

You'll enjoy the area mishmom. The District is a real tourist trap, lots of foo foo stores that you'll find in the big hotels on the Strip, you'll find the District kinda empty during the week, but come Friday...oh boy, it gets crowded there with the restaurants and events going on.

You'll find lots of neighborhood shopping nearby as well, overall it's a great area. Good luck with your relo and enjoy!!

Best pizza in LV (and perhaps this side of the Atlantic) is at Settebello in the District, next to Whole Foods. A lot of people here are going to disagree. But I'm using Naples, Italy as the benchmark. And Settebello is as close as it gets.
