Cheap and it works at my house. What a deal. But it took a lot of poor service to find them.
Metro is good for me. Good coverage even in Henderson. Have never tried Cricket.

We are of course very cell phone dependent. Last time out - 18 months ago - we tried ATT but gave it up and went back to Verizon.

We found Verizon fine everywhere except at home. So we added the tiny tower gizmo which fixed that.

Only place in the entire valley that I EVER had trouble with on Verizon is my bedroom....if the cell is laying on the bed, it will NOT ring...just goes right to voicemail.

What tiny tower gizmo? I think I looked for ages for something like that.

Tiny tower gizmo?

Is it shaped like one of those ersatz palm trees that dot the valley?

It's called a femtocell. It uses your internet connection and provides a strong cell signal in your home.

If you complain loud enough and talk to the right person, you might get lucky to get one of these for free.

Verizon: Set Your Location

AT&T:AT&T 3G MicroCell - Wireless Signal Booster - Wireless from AT&T

I'm sure the other carriers have similar devices.

Yup...I have the Verizon Network Connection.

I believe it works only on the phone side...so no broad data connections.

The cellphones work very well now in the house.
