Wow, every item on that menu is $6 to $8 higher than the same item is in a Mexican Rest. here in Nashville. Are those the typical prices for Mexican fare in LV? For example, around here, a Chimichanga dinner with rice and beans is $6.95... if you get it on Chimighanga special day it is $4.95. A combination with two enchiladas, rice and beans is $6.95.

Yeah, but I have a theory that the further you get from Mexico the least authentic (or good) is the food. I seriously doubt that there are more than six Mexicans in Nashville.

When I was serving my sentance in the prison camp known as New Jersey, they decided since so many of us were from Las Vegas that they could make a killing with a Mesican restaurant....so this Italian guy looks at it and says "HMMMM, Salsa is red. It MUST be made with tomato sauce."

The ABSOLUTE WORST MEXICAN food on the entire planet [except maybe in northern Canada.]

Ricardo's is decent. I go there sometimes when I visit Las Vegas. The food is above average and the place is real nice. The margaritas are poured well.

-Cheers.

I have had REAL Mexican in Mexico and at homes of friends in Vegas, I personally prefer my "Americanized" version, whether it's considered authentic or not.....that said, my favorite food is Mexican (americanized) and I ate it every week. In order of perference:

Ricardos
Dona Marias
Lindo Michocan
Chevy's
Mi Casa (but it's in a casino)

Now when I just left Vegas this summer I went over to the city boards of where I was moving to asking for advice on great Mexican in the area, and was advised on places such as Taco Bell and El Burrito......needless to say I knew I was in trouble

Look here Hombre, maybe Chevy's isn't REALLY Mexican, Tex-Mex whatever.....I still like it. Let's just rename it. Whatever Vegas serves, be it a chain or not, I like this Americanized version of Mexican/Tex-Mex/Southwest food. I love all of the above restaurants mentioned, even those from other posters such as Supermex and Agave. You have to really screw up some Mexican style food for me not to like it
