I have often wonder why we don't have our own airline. A Vegas airline, perhaps owned by Steve Wynn and a few other big rollers around town that would shuttle in visitors at discount rates and fill hotels here. Such an airline could offer packages ties in with resorts like Wynn that, if a person bought 4 nights or more let's say, they would be given air fare at a big discount. Perhaps as little as $99 each way. The money would be made up during 4 nights in the resorts here. Maybe it is something that should be looked at!

Alligiant Air is the only nonstop option from here to there. I recently found flights at $88 each way! Of course, I've had to move my travel dates from May to possibly June, so I won't be taking advantage of that. Damn.

If you want to become a millionaire, start with a billion dollars and launch a new airline.

Airlines could not make money when jet fuel was $1/gallon. Forget trying to do it now. FWIW Allegiant is based here and SW has a hub here too. There are another 10 or so airlines that fly here. Allegiant does a good job of connecting small markets to Las Vegas, markets that may not otherwise come and visit.
