Renting on the Strip Versus Off the Strip Month to Month? (Las Vegas: house, dangerous)

georgewalsh. If you don't have a car dont even think about renting out in the 'burbs. IT IS NOT AN OPTION. Rent Month to Month in the areas we've talked about. It will be just fine!

Have you checked Vacation rentals, private rooms, sublets by the night - Accommodations on Airbnb It's a site where people rent their houses or a room out. I know you mentioned you were thinking about this but I didn't know what site you looked at. I have used this service to stay with a girl in Chicago suburbs and it was safe. My sister also rents her apartment out a lot in Omaha and doesn't have any problems. Check it out.

sojones, can you explain why a few people mention the E. Harmon Avenue is really bad? I spoke with a few others and they say the area is okay... its just East Harmon that i keep hearing so much.

Has anyone here stayed at these things called Hostel Cat before? I had thought about staying in the imperial palace for the weekdays because its cheap. Weekends, it gets more expensive. I checked and these hostel cat places seem to be very cheap. However, most of it is you sleeping in bunk beds with other people. However, they have private rooms i see and those are only about $32 a night.

Has anyone here stayed at one of these things? I see in pictures that people always drink and have fun but are they doing this with other people they don't know that are staying there? That would just seem a bit strange.

I also checked google maps and the location is pretty good for taking the bus. Question is would it be okay say staying at imperial palace 5 days a week, and then stay at a place like this for 2 days?

Can you guys tell me where are these condos I hear people rent? Is it possible to rent condo month to month?

I have another question that might be stupid but I see there are places where they rent those really nice places for $1500 a month like the mgm signature. My question is, how hard would it be to find another person who wants to rent a place and then split it up with them for $750 a month? But then i heard its very hard to rent those luxury places because they require them looking at your information before they rent out? Sure its 1 bed only but i dont mind say sleeping on the couch etc.
