What the HECK is being built just southwest of Primm?? There are 3 TALL towers and bunches of buildings... Almost reminds me of the place they were building the Starships for the last Star Trek movie.....

Does anyone know what this might be or has anyone heard of what is going on there????

Isn't the new airport going in somewhere near there too?

I think, but am not positive, the airport will be on the Nevada side of the border on the other side of I-15 before you get to Primm.

I think you won't see the new airport for quite some time. Pretty much all activity surrounding the Ivanpah airport has been suspended. The new terminal at McCarran has barely opened and it's not like they are as congested as several other airports around the country, thanks to the recent downturn of the economy. Also, they are looking into rebuilding a terminal/passenger services at where Terminal 2 is - supposedly the current building will be demolished in the near future. This would increase the projected maximum capacity. If the Ivanpah airport is built, I bet you won't see it within 10 years.

It would probably be 10 or 15 years for a new airport ...but McCarran's not congested? It's the 5th busiest airport in the country.

Power plant? That is so dissappointing... We had decided it must be a new NASA spaceship launching, uh, thing.
