We went to the Hard Rock this weekend to check out the venue. We have tickets to see the Who at the Joint in Feb 2013. Any lounge there is dark and dingy. We decided not to stay at the Hard Rock. Too dark and smokey. It might be perfect for you.

Take a look at Downtown Cocktail Room. It's on LV Blvd, just south of Fremont. Barely can see when you walk in, but comfortable with red lights and candles. The door looks like a boarded up window, so it makes for a very interesting view watching people looking around and trying to find their way inside. Great drink mixologists in there also!
