I'm looking to move to the Vegas area and was told that the Henderson/Green Valley area was a safe place. With that info I started searching and found 2 in my price range {$750-$900/month} Victory Village and the Sunset Winds apartments, both gated communities. Then I started looking for reviews, but mostly found negative reviews for both. Any help would be greatly appreciated, other suggestions also. I'm 62yrs young, in great shape, but still looking for somewhat quiet, safe places.
Thanks for any help and info you can give!!

You can pick up a 2 BR/2Bath/2car in Sun City Anthem for 950 to 1000. There are numerous condos in Seven Hills, and just north of 215 on Eastern and Wigwam and such..start around 700. Get 3 BR for 750. The ones in 7 hills will be small but the ones north of 215 will be good sized. Probably 15 or 20 to chose from.

I'm a new resident of Las Vegas. My apartment complex in Henderson is also "gated" after 6pm. However, that means nothing because my apartment is across from the gate and I constantly see people that just wait (in their car) outside the gate until someone comes that actually has access. Then, they just follow them through. So, unless it has a security officer actually at the gate it means nothing.

However, I think Henderson-Green Valley is a safe area. I'm pretty close to the airport (Just East of the airport on Sunset) and I haven't seen any problems in my short time here.
