OK..
At the risk of sounding like the nutjob because of my last thread about chemtrails, I simply must ask this question.
I live in Henderson near the Horizon Drive exit on the 515.
For the last two days from about 3pm til almost 10pm, ever 15 min or so, I hear some sort of deeeeep loud rumbling coming from the sky.
I go out and look all the time, but never see anything.
I know it's the Air Force, but what are they doing up there?

Jet's produce a very typical sound... fighter jets especially. the real noise maker is the B1, and I have seen some around Edwards over the last year despite not being stationed there and they sound very distinct when on full after burners. You won't hear anything louder except maybe a rocket, which also sounds very different.

Yup - Red Flag. Sitting here at the computer listening to them come and go this afternoon. At least on the northside you cannot miss the rumble. And sometimes you can actually hear the explosions...ducted down the valley.
