How hard is it for someone not living in Las Vegas to get a job there. I have 2 years experience as a cage cashier but I wouldn't want to move o Las Vegas unless I already had a job.

That puts you in a bit of a catch 22. A lot of employers in Vegas don't want to hire people who haven't established local residency.

What are some of the better casinos to work for as far as cage cashiering goes? I do have experience with title 31 just not with foreign currency or markers

To start, the one who gives you a job. You have to break in, and get some local experience before being able to be picky.

I can understand that. I actually do enjoy what I do. I work at a Native American casino and there a few things that I wish were different, like clearing my hands after everything a touch and my hours. We are not a 24 hour casino so I could go to work anytime between noon and 3:30. Do you come in at the same every day in Las Vegas?

You have nothing to loose doing a online app. I hired a few people from out of town after conducting a phone interview when I was the Dir of Cage Ops running the cages for three strip resorts 10 years ago. All of them worked out just fine. Its just a matter of luck and timing and how well you do in the interview. Customer service is more important than cashiering skills. Main bank, fill bank, marker bank can all be learned in a couple of shifts.
