I am moving to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and I am trying to find the best location for an apartment. (just a 1 bedroom for my bf and I). I am working in the Northeast area of Las Vegas, but do not want to live there. (have heard bad things). I have heard wonderful things about the Henderson area and was looking at the Green Valley sections. I was just wondering if there is a difference between the 3 areas besides location.

(some info: I will also be attending UNLV for grad school and my boyfriend works on the strip, so if any other area is in close proximity to those places as well would be appreciated for suggestion!)

Thank you,
Rose

It seems the further south you go in Green Valley Ranch, the better the neighborhood... but that also makes you further away from work/school.

The further you go towards the outskirts of ANY neighborhood, the better the area. North, south, east and west.

Start out staying north of 215...The best choice is zip 89012. That gets you close to the freeway.

If not two choices...go up the hill 89052 or to the north side of the freeway 89074.

The Equestrian on Eastern should work for a younger couple short term. In a year you will know more and can move.

Green Valley South (north of the I-215, zip 89074) or Green Valley Ranch (south of the I-215, zip 89012). 89074 is a little bit older, but still nice ..... and both areas will give you quick access to the I-215 and I-95

That first north is wrong. Should have been south.

89074 is nice affordable area with good access to freeway and surface streets, lots of apartments too.

Really, I don't think there's much of a north south division within Green Valley Ranch. The north south division is between Green Valley (North) and Green Valley Ranch (South). The dividing line being th 215.
