This of course is only for the city limits of Las Vegas and not including Unincorporated areas, North Las Vegas & Henderson.

June 2006#s 545,147
Nov 2007#s 602,000

Thats a gain of 57,000

Just a tad under 5K per month net.

Saw this on the NEWS today. Anyone else have a different figure. I wonder what the total valley-wide stats are for gains in the same period.

The greater metro area which includes all of Clark County comes in at 1.9 million!
Pretty respectable

Henderson I believe is the 2nd biggest city in NV.
NLV is or will soon be #3.

How's the traffic on the I-15 these days? 12-5pm from Blue Diamond up to Sahara used to be a nightmare for me, I can only assume it's worsened over time?

It's strange that even though the Vegas Valley has over 1.8 Million People living there,it doesn't seem that crowded...The area still has a mid-sized city feel....Even the traffic is tolerable to me.

I was in Silicon Valley over the holiday week and It is similar to Las Vegas because it is also in a "valley". Silicon Valley is approx 300sq miles with 2.3 Million people. Las Vegas has 1.9 with about 600sq miles. San Jose seems very crowded now because the population has outgrown its roads. Even thought the freeways are good, they surface streets are not in a grid type layout and always congested in the most dense parts of town. Las Vegas even though it has a so-so freeway system, it has great surface streets with a grid layout. I think this is why the traffic is not that bad compared to other cities. Maybe by the time Las Vegas hits 4-5 million is when you will really notice "crowded"

It was actually 602,897. Not to be nit-picky.

The only time I touch the 15 is in a patrol car. It can be bad, but it still moves better that I-25 in north Denver.

Especially where the 405 turns into a hiking trail in Irvine That has driven me nuts every time I go to San Diego from Monterey Park.

Can't be worse than the New Jersey Turnpike, which featured a 35-mile long parking lot last Saturday evening--just when I decided to drive back from Philadelphia.
