I bought a new car and have to get it registered I was wondering if anyone knew a DMV in Las Vegas that was better then the one on Flamingo?...Last year I went to the one on Flamingo and it kinda seems a big wild and crowded in there.

Yes I know "non crowded" might be an inpossible feat but hey doesn't hurt to ask.

I have heard from more than a few friends that it's often better to drive up to Mequite or down to Bullhead City.

Every time I have gone to Elkhorn/Decatur, it was walk in and walk out. Took my mom last year and there was no one at the front counter to get the number then as soon as she got the number, it was broadcast. Only wait was having picture taken for new license but I would head there first.

I always go to Elkhorn & Decatur...it the least crowded DMV. Get a number in about 3 minutes or less and the line moves quickly.

I have always used 7170 N Decatur Blvd. Never had much of wait.
Made sure I had all paperwork and ID info all ready.
Their website will also tell you wait time.

The wait times on the web site is pretty accurate. Just get your number, go do some errands and return before the wait times that are posted. Elkhorn/Decatur is the best one in my opinion.

I've had the best luck at the little known office off of Craig, just west of I-15. It's a "commercial vehicle" office, but I've been there two or three times and never been refused service. Last time I went there was a few years ago, so I don't know if they've changed their policy about how they deal with non-commercial stuff.

I live near(est) the Sahara office now, so that's the one I go to. When I need to make a trip, I keep a close eye on the wait times posted on the website, and run out the door when it gets down to about 15 mins or less. Works fairly well, most of the time. Haven't been there since the new developments, though.

they wont turn you away for renewals only. No driver's license, testing, plates, or other weird issues. Have your renewal card, your smog test and your money and it's easy.
