anyone know why nevada landing closed ? i was curious even though its been closed for quite some time.

ps. this rain is amazing im sure vegas needs it.

EDIT* sucks for the people on there way to vegas using the 210 to the 15. 9+ hours just to get to vegas.

Apparently, if you can believe it, there is a master planned community in the works for that area. That is according to the review journal. That property, owned by MGM Mirage, is being cleared for mid rise condominiums and apartments.

They closed because their buffet really sucked. lol

They really closed because they are building housing for all the workers in Primm and Jean. And probably building another casino or two as well. What they should add is a neighborhood market like Fresh and Easy or a Walmart market. People have to eat and they shouldn't always have to drive to Las Vegas when they can just shop locally.

Of course, for what their payscale is they'll have to build homes in the $100,000 range or less.....I have several people that work for me now that USED to work in Primm and the pay is abysmal...especially considering the travel involved.



ps....I agree Pinkie....the Buffet was one of the WORST in the universe.....altho the coffee shop has fond memories.....I met my wife there when she managed it
