i loathe spit bugs! "they won't damage your plants" ?!?! BULLS**T! they will devour your rosemary, call all of their friends, make many babies & kill it if you leave them alone. i had 4 rosemary plants, i now have 1 because of those little bugs. water alone won't destroy them. there's a company, ortho i think???, blue bottle, that makes a concoction that you mix & put in the ground near the stem. it protects the plant for up to a year, any bugs that are currently eating the plant will die. it's the best stuff i've found, has saved my remaining rosemary plant!
