Any dentists to recommend ? I am finding a lot of them to be salesmen, and women, and not actual healers. They are licensed dentists, but I need an older, established dentist who isn't a "shiny gadget" yuppie trying to sell me on things I clearly do not need ! I want to tell them what I WANT done first. One wanted 5 hundred dollars up front for a deep cleaning my old dentist said would be a waste of money.

Do you have periodontal problems is why a deep cleaning was suggested or were you just being upsold? I have discovered many of these dentists advertising low cost cleaning and x-rays will, try to sell people on deep scaling even if they do not need it,

If you just need routine work, from my shopping around here, Discovery Dental has proved to me to be very low priced and very good. I have had both simple procedures and advanced implant work done there. They are on Jones, just north of Sahara.

I've been getting all my dental work done, for the last 20 years now, in either Algodones or Tijuana, so I can't help you!

There are some dental review sites which could help, like Angie's List and Kelp.

Dr. Joseph Wenzinger. I can't recommend him highly enough. The office is rather old and nothing fancy, but he's very good, and no sales-jobs.

I googled Discovery Dental Las Vegas, and saw a horrible review on "RipoffReport" site about Discovery Dental.

We go up to St. George, Utah for our dental work. Have been going there for years and have never paid more than $40-60 out of pocket after insurance kicks in (if anything at all). The one time my wife went to a dentist here in town we were hit with a bill of more than $3,000. We're much better off taking a day off work, going to the dentist there, grabbing lunch after, and then driving home. We make a nice day trip out of it.

That's a great suggestion I hadn't thought of trying!
Thank you!
