However, that is making the reservation in advance and using the discount coupon from my Entertainment book. Check all the major rental websites...some offer last minute specials, especially if its a slower week and their inventory is high. Good luck.
I will not be slow at all. Not with the NFR and Mayweather in town. The parties will be continuing all week long and there are almost a million extra people here this week. I know I'll be partying. I made $8500 on the Mayweather fight!!!!

We are staying about three miles off the strip for a week and have a free shuttle to get to the strip so that is not a problem. What about sights to see besides the casinos? I saw tours of Hoover Dam were $$$, would it be better to just rent a car? What about eating, the hotels or off the strip? If you could think of one or two things that is a "must do", while there, what would it be?

thanks so much,
Kat......small town girl.
Now that you're here let us know what you've been seeing and doing. Also, now that you're here, are there any questions that have come up that you'd like answered? I hope you're having a good time. We had this cold weather brought in just for you.

Most people don't like the traffic and use taxis to get around
If you're into cowboy/rodeo culture, not only check out the Cowboy Christmas as mentioned, but go to the South Point Casino and nearby Stoney's Country Bar to check out that crowd. While down there, also check out the Las Vegas Outlet mall for some great deals.
While in Vegas, you must go to a buffet. The best ones are at the Rio and Planet Hollywood.
For a locals casino, try the Orleans (just off the strip) There you will find lower limits on bets, good buffet, bowling alley and cinemas.
Bring some warm clothes at is pretty much as cold as it gets around here. Highs in the 50' lows in the 30's

have fun
