Stayed at Harrah's in Reno who said their pet policies are the same at all their properties, there and in Las Vegas. Yes, you can leave them in the room...I have two Chihuahuas. They gave me a special tag to hang outside the door that said something to the affect that pups were in the room...Do not enter. This told the staff to stay out. They did not have to be crated. They want you out gambling. Yes we were allowed to walk them through the casino...As a matter of fact you had to as the Reno dog park area is on the other side of the casino where you MUST go through the casino. A lady playing by me in the early evening had her little Scotty dog sitting on the floor by her and nobody cared. Actually a slot attendant came by and patted the little dog. Upon arrival Harrah's gave us a little package that included dog treats, a small silver bowl for each of them, a printed placemat with doggy prints, and the tag to hang on the door when we went gambling. That was about a year and a half ago when we travelled back from our condo in Vegas to Canada.

Also bear in mind you can only walk your pets on the Strip between 5am and noon.

Yes. Unfortunately, the law that was intended to curb pan-handling in Vegas infringed on people like you who just wanted to go for a walk after work.

When I walk my ferret on the Strip, now, I start out my walks off-Strip at 4am (the boundaries are 600 feet from the Strip) and work my way down to the Strip around 5am.

Interesting! When I've talked to a number of security guards about these time limits, a good number of them are clueless about them, had no idea these time restrictions existed. If you carry your pet in your arms on the Strip, outside these hours, all is OK!

Sometimes I walk my ferret at Town Square at night (boundaries for the 5am-noon are Sahara Ave. to the north, and Sunset to the South), which is just barely south of Sunset, and there's usually a few police officers at Town Square at night, and even when I've talked to a couple of them, they weren't even aware of the time limits or boundaries on the Strip.

Other cities, the rule is usually not to leave them alone in the room.
We've traveled cross-country with our cocker spaniel several times and have never encountered a situation where we couldn't leave him alone in the room. All that was required was that he be crated and that we leave a phone number with the front desk so that they could contact us and have us return if necessary.

The Fiesta Station Casino accepts pets. Like MMofB mentioned the La Quinta's accept pets without a fee. They are so pet friendly they have dog biscuits at check in. Our Irish Terrier is crate trained, so we use it when necessary.

Hmmm...I am pretty sure when researching hotels for my move, I found that La Quinta DID charge extra fees. That is why I didn't stay there.

They are often aas much double what Motel 6 is, anyway, so I would choose Motel 6 for the cost savings.

Default Pet Friendly Hotel: Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino

The Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino is located in Henderson at 2800 Boulder Highway. They are very reasonable as far as room rates go and extremely pet friendly. Their phone number is (702) 294-5000. Good luck!
