If people win too much at a casino they may ask a person to stay away?

They want you to come back so you can return their money.

They want their money back and eventually they will get it. I do not like gambling but occasionally I'll put 10 bucks in, hit a small "jackpot" (20-80 bucks) and cash out immediately and be done. Other times I lose ten bucks and then get angry and walk away. I work hard for my money and I really REALLY hate to waste it.

This reminds me of the movie Casino. When the rich Japanese guy won all that money and tried to leave, but management sabotaged his plane, preventing his immediate return home(Japan). So he was "forced" to play again and lost a lot more than he initially won.

I'm not a gambler but I would place bets for a family member and use my casino card to get points for buffets. The bets were never big but at the end of the year I looked at the win/loss statement and I was amazed how the losses exceded the little wins. Even though a win made would make people forget the past losses the cycle just keeps going looking for that next win. Spend a total of say $100 to win $20 in the betting cycle at some point.

For me it's maybe a small bet football parlay but it's only the buffets for me. The house always wins. It's kind of crazy with so many casinos in town the building goes on.

It has been. Google MIT card counting team, or read the book Breaking Vegas.

Casinos have always reserved the right to ban anyone for any reason. They certainly banned certain effective card counters.

And I would think they would ban anyone they believed had developed a way to win consistently.

Perhaps with cause. Ivy had developed a technique that he used to win at Baccarat. I would think they likely would have banned him if they could not figure out how he did it.

It will be interesting to see if Ivy keeps his winnings.

It used to happen at Blackjack with the card counters, as you referred to above. Now with Shuffle Master, you have a continuous round of cards and it is almost impossible to count. And now you can only win if you have a wonderful deal of good cards and you play precision and not exactly what to do with them. That doesn't threaten the casino. They know what comes around also goes around.
