It seems like most people are into the Casinos or Entertainment Business but is it possible to be a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist in Las Vegas? I'm from Michigan and I'll be starting school in May I will be 28 by then but I'll be going for Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene. After I'd like to move to Las Vegas but I'm not sure if it will be possible to find a job there? I'm planning to visit sometime in April. I would really like to move there a lot sooner but I know it's important to have some kind of degree or good paying job before hand. So until then I'll just visit.

All of our dental hygienists are also casino workers. So only if you can deal blackjack at the same time as scraping someone's decaying food off of their teeth can you be a dental hygienist in this city.

You do know this is a city of 2,000,000 people, right? Every profession is represented here. Do you really think there are no dentists or dental assistants in a city of 2,000,000???

When did we get 2 million people? When I moved here in 2008, it was more like 900,000 max, and people were moving out in droves.

Las Vegas is a large city, so we have opportunities that any large city would have. Dentists practice in towns of almost any size.

I don't know the exact date, but that's the population of the valley (the 3 cities, and unicorporated Clark County). Las Vegas has approx. 600,000, Henderson has approx. 250,000, North Las Vegas has approx. 225,000, and about 900,000 live in Clark County.

Clark County hit 2 million population in 2012. There have been more people moving in than moving out. I see it every day out on the roads and in schools.

2,000,000 people x 32 teeth = Yes, we need dentist like any other city.
