Over the past week I've noticed something, there are a select few who the rules don't apply to them. Examples:
  • At Winco bulk foods while buying bulk food I watch 3 women sampling several items from bins and walk off without purchasing anything. I tell them that's theft and contributes to higher grocery prices and they give me a dirty look and say something in Spanish to each other and walk off.
  • Same day literally one minute later as I'm putting some sugar free candy in a bag another woman walks-up and reaches into the bin next to the one I'm working with, grabs a piece of candy, pops it in her mouth and walks up. Of course I say something to her and she walks off not paying me any attention.
  • At Smith's someone in the 12 or 15 items or less lane two people in front of me, at least 30 items, then she doesn't have enough money and we have to sit through the put this back game until we get to the magical point of what she can pay for.
  • Dropping off my son at school through their path that cars follow to drop off in front of school (on school property). It's busy so its taking a few minutes for cars to get out of parking lot so lady behind me cuts out of line and drives through cones school has setup so people WON'T go through this specific area.
  • Leaving Costco I'm on Rome going North/East turning right on Decatur behind a truck. There are three lanes there, outside two no cars and I'm wondering why isn't this guy turning right. Well after all traffic clears he turns left (wrong way) and then maneuvers back right though the barriers the City installed so people DON'T cross straight on Decatur (there have been a lot of accidents there), you have to turn right but I guess this person has a pass not to obey traffic laws.
These are all just in the past week. I'm I overreacting here? What happened following the rules and when did all these people start feeling that rules don't apply to them?

And now you have a slight understanding of why I hate humans.

I've seen #3 happen at my local Smith's fairly often. However, it's the customer with too many items who is often called to the express line if there is nobody there. I've been called to that line with a full cart, but I decline, as I don't want to get the looks from the dude with a 6-pack who is bound to get in line behind me.

It's like the "chips and markers" window at the casinos. People cashing in chips don't have to wait in line behind all of the paycheck cashers. However, if no one is utilizing the chips and markers window, they will call the next in line, invariably a paycheck casher, and that is the moment I will walk up behind to cash in my chips.

People walking their dogs are the worst! They don't pick up their dogs poop(sorry, it's mostly owners of large dogs). Those idiots should be beaten with sticks. Also the people who feel their dogs don't need to be on leashes (and I'm not talking about dog parks). I hate those people too. I own two dogs.

A new pet peeve is people pulling their grocery carts from a front corner of the cart. Between your cart and your body you are not taking up three quarters of the isle. Push the DAM cart! If I ever get arrested it will be for attacking a cart puller.

There. I feel better.

The Admiral discovered the problem on a trip east. Staying at the family place in Montauk we were shopping at the big supermarket in East Hampton. She went to the deli which clearly had a couple of customers and a take a number set up. She did and then stood there dazed as three different women pushed past here and ordered. She just had never met the classic LI woman. (NYC much the same). At that point she popped into annoyed Canadian mode and mowed them down. Including the deli guys for allowing it.

Sampling stuff is a cultural thing. Common in Mexico. .

Rude people, annoying people? Here's mine. I don't know what catagory to put them in.

I shop at Smith's, corner of Rampart & Lake Mead. You put your life and your car at risk just driving thru the parking lot and parking. I have been backed into badly twice there. I'm trying to park and finally see an empty space. Look carefully for anyone pulling out and finally navigate into the space. Apparently the guy parked next to me in a pick up had intentions of pulling out. My window is down, his window is down and before he pulls out, he calls me the ugliest, angriest thing I have ever as a woman been called and ends it with "thanks a lot."

Next day I'm shopping near the new Summerlin Mall when a bedraggled older woman comes up to me and says she is a Grandmother with 4 grandkids sleeping in the car and would I take her in the organic supermarket and buy them some groceries. I told her I couldn't afford to buy general groceries for my own family in there and she should stake herself out at a Food For Less. At that, she offered up that she would accept cash.

Then while in Smith's, the lane I was in only had one separator bar. I put it down to keep my things from the order that was being rung up. Soon a man lines up behind me and begins putting his things down, co-mingling them with me because he had no choice. I took the separator bar I had put down on the order ahead of me as that was almost rung up and put it between the order backing up behind me. The big fat lazy clerk started adding my things to that front order and then yelled at me because there was no separator bar. He wouldn't listen to my defense that he only had one bar and there were now three orders. I should have reported him to the manager. He ended his tirade by saying it was people "like me" who made his job difficult.

Dog owners out here don't give a rat's ass about maintaining a clean trail system. When I run along the streetside trails in Summerlin, I see a lot of doggy bags stuffed under the brushes. Sad.

They are willing to have their dog sh*t or pee on someone else's lawn rather than their own. I caught quite a few neighbors with their dogs pee-ing on my lawn.

Some parks in Summerlin are not for people to bring their dog as a public toilet. Why? Because kids practice and play soccer on the fields.

Remember just as long as it is not their lawn or property they don't give a sh*t. They want to own a dog, but yet don't want to pick up their poop.

In my neighborhood we have to dodge horse droppings on the sidewalks and walkways. I tell my wife it's part of the charm of our neighborhood LOL.

All I can do is lead by my example. We all share the same 24hours and I can go to sleep daily knowing I've done things that are righteous, good and loving to everyone I come across.

Let those that do bad/greedy/disobedient things continue to do so, their day is going to come soon.
There are far greater rewards to be the good girl
