It's not just here. We moved from Iowa last year. Today a dear friend posted this on Facebook

Quote:
Ron had chest pain yesterday and went to his doctor and had an EKG. They told him he was not having a heart attack and sent him home. Four hours later he had a massive heart attack. I lost my beloved Ronnie yesterday.
There are incompetent doctors everywhere.

I defend Vegas medicine generally. Though if I needed open heart surgery again I would go back to SO CA.

But I find my doctor set quite reasonable...and up with the better set in most places.

And I have reached the point where my Dr. Set is very important.

We have been very pleased with the doctors we have found here. Not so pleased with one of their personnel that contacts us (I dropped that doctor), but very happy with the care and diagnosis I've had.

Her second loss. Her first died suddenly from the same thing that killed John Ritter.

Is this occurrence recent?? Because for us up here in Canada..ANYONE who complains of CP regardless of what initial EKG indicates..is then put into a 24 hour minimum constant monitored situation..serial blood tests to monitor cardiac enzymes. then if asymptomatic..put thru "Stress test" under supervisions of Cardiologist...assessed and treated accordingly..then booked for followup for a minimum of monthly testings for 6 months.....I say this NOW but that was mandatory since prior to 2000.....Maybe some of the Family Doctors better get off their BUTTS and read up on stuff like this

This is what I find interesting. Complaints about care, but so many of us have good care. Confusing.

My mother is still alive thanks to the competent medical staff in our hospitals in Clark County.
