Simple, I make a lot more $$$ here. I tried to live elsewhere, but the $$$ brought me back. Don't worry, I will take my $$$ with me in due time to a better place.

If you spend the majority of you life in Vegas, you are truly insane.

It is a place to vacation, even spend a year in, but to settle down in...no way. The only exception is if you are a stripper or if you own a casino.

Cool well don't complain you are there because you choose to be, you do have choices.

If you are a couple in your 30s and find yourselves bored living in Las Vegas... It's not the city... It's you.

I wouldn't try to raise kids out there. But other than that, I don't see a problem with it, if your career works in the Vegas economy.

Default Green Valley and Sumerlin are very nice! Try to secure a job before moving!

I currently live with my parents and my girlfriend also lives with her parents as well. Both of us want to move in together but in California we can't afford the high apartment rental prices. In the San Fernando Valley one bedroom apartments are renting out for $2200 a month for a safe area.

My girlfriend and I are considering moving to Henderson Green Valley Ranch or Sumerlin.

Personally Id rather me and my girlfriend move to Seattle or Portland over Las Vegas.

Las Vegas seems like a suburban city that is spread out with shopping malls and supermarket strip centers. It seems the the Strip is mainly for tourists and locals don't go there.

Whats attracting me and my girlfriend to las vegas is affordable apartment rental prices.

What is the Las Vegas job market like?

Currently I'm going to trade school at night for computer tech. Back in 2004 I got a BA in radio-tv-film. My girlfriend works with adults with disabilities.

Everything is relative. LA costs more and SF, forget about it! I lived in Vegas for a few years. I have a preference for Green Valley. It is not brand new, but it is newer. Some parts of Vegas are ghetto, actually, quite a large portion is ghetto. But a lot of it is very desirable.

I think you should do a job search in the areas you would like to relocate to. Remember a quick fix, it just that. Finding a job for your girlfriend should be a snap anywhere you go, as their are old people everywhere! Good luck ion wherever you may land!

I think he was just saying that with the tens of thousands of different places to live in this country, it is a shame to not love where you live.

Insane? why? Vegas is where I was raised. Vegas is where I will stay.
Huge Family. Friends. Weather. (I ****ing LOVE the heat) Location. Low Cost of living. Solid career with a great retirement.
I can drive to Cali for a beach getaway for cheap. I can go to Utah and go camping and fishing. I hunt all over Northern Nevada.
What's not to love?
Life is good. Vegas is easy. Vegas is new. It's guys like me that will help turn this young city into the future of all major cities. Our own culture.
Everyone else will come and go....and I prefer it that way. Weed out the pretenders and wannabes and leave us real Las Vegans to carry this city.

Just because you live in Vegas doesn't put you in this invisible shield from the world.

Your perspective is so simple minded it's hard to fathom, but good luck to where you find a fit.
