I'm not getting this whole "added cost" thing. It's a CNG truck. Other than how you fill it up, there's no difference between this truck and a regular truck. It has a basic 5.4l V8 engine. It gets a few hundred miles per fill. I change the oil every 10K or so. No smog check. And I'm good to go in any HOV lane in the country. What's not to like? (Other than lack of filling stations in the more backwards parts of the country.)

As for resale/trade, I don't care. I'm going to drive this truck until the wheels fall off. Then I'll scrap it and buy another used CNG truck as my daily commuter. I easily save a few thousand per year compared to gasoline. And nobody is currently fighting and dying to keep my tank full.

Math is great!
What did you pay for the truck?

That's a decent price, but as someone mentioned I think it's the cash price.

I just paid $2.99 @ Costco on Decatur - in addition to that, I get a 3% rebate. Comes out to about $2.90 or so per gallon for that tank.

For anyone here who wants to check gas prices in the area (& beyond), try this ...

I don't trust any station except for Costco.

They change their pump filters weekly. Their gas has 5x EPA required cleaning agents.

Ever notice other station pumps are weak or slow? Because they don't change their filters.

I've had a catalytic converter die on me. Mechanics attributed the cause to be at least partially due to bad gas. Cheapest isn't always best. Especially if you're going to be paying later on for sludge build up and uncombusted particles lodging themselves in the exhaust.

I love Costco gas. The gas alone is worth the annual membership fee.

Costco gas is consistently the cheapest top tier gas in Las Vegas.
