The wife and I took Irishspy's advice and checked out Past,Present and Future. (Desert Inn and Boulder Highway) Bought a glass coffee table, a hutch for the kitchen and a fireplace screen. They are not a consignment shop or a thrift shop. They buy used furniture outright and then resell it. There were some really cool pieces with very little pressboard crap.

Yeah, we did to some degree. The kitchen hutch was $160.00 got it for $140.00. The other two items were cheap enough that it wasn't worth the hassle. They had some real "vintage Las Vegas" stuff. Thanx for the recommendation.

The google review is pretty hilarious, I take it you didn't get any 'extras'?

Ghost Bidders abound at the Clark County Public Auction.....i frequent that auction, nellis, and mcmanus.... Clark County( which does not have anything to do with the county or state) is the biggest joke of them all....

Nellis has their fair share of those, too.. and, unfortunately, often inept auctioneers. I do like McManus, though.

i 100% agree... online bidding is a scary thing..... if there in no bid on an item, and online you put a max bid of $50, and then watch the item online, they will start the bid at the $50...

scary very scary.

even in bidding history, it will show only you at the $50
