The time is now to begin our petition drive for 20,000 signatures by May 1st. I have attached the paper petition which you can make copies of and mail back to me at the address on the bottom of the petition and a quick fact sheet to print out and tell people how incredible the Upper Las Vegas Wash is.

Please remember that even if you signed the petition last summer, this one is different as it is asking for a National Conservation Area to be managed by the BLM. This will be our proof to Senators Reid and Ensign that the public has had enough of covering up the Nation's history and Nevada's history with houses. We need to save the 1% of the Las Vegas Formation that is left. It tells the contiguous history of over 200,000 years of climate change and 2 ice ages in the Las Vegas Valley along with the Ice Age mammals and humans that were here. So, we need your signatures again.
Anyone in the U.S. can sign these petitions as this is Federal Land and therefore belongs to every single one of us, not just Nevadans. So please circulate the on-line one to your entire lists!!!!! Remind them that they do not have to donate to sign. Just click by the donation part!!!
