If you drive on West Sahara starting from LV Blvd at a constant 46.6mph, you can get to Summerlin South without hitting a red light.

I've done this 3 times already.

Thought I share my scecret.

You remind me of my wife's late uncle, who lived in Carson City. He prided himself on never stopping at a red light. If the light was red ahead of him, he would go slooooooooow, so that it would turn green before he got there.

Could this be true only during certain times of day? Do lights change to accommodate different traffic times?

I don't believe so. This is the singular thing on which Scoop and I agree. The light timers should be run out of town rails. Perfectly designed roads, horrifically designed signal timing. How about the use of pressure plates (or magnets, actually, I believe), instead of the lights on the same timers 24 hours a day, whether there's traffic or not.

Or the lights on either side of an overpass. One green, one red.. dumb.
