I am very tired of these slumlords in Las Vegas not taking care of their properties. The owners live out of state and hire unreliable maintenance men to maintain their units. Does anyone know about tenant/landlord laws here? Who can i report slumlords to?

The only organization that might care and/or do something is the HOA of the property in question. And even that is iffy.

Why not start with the landlord first. Not hard to find owner of property, via assesor's site. Send them a letter. Perhaps they don't know how bad of job the Property Mgt or maintenance crew are doing. At least it's a start.

Out of State landlords do not care at all nor the HOA, I've been trying for years to meet with the out of state landlords and discuss the property and tenants they have in my community and NO luck. Realtor hired by the investors don't care, they get paid for their services so if there is a problem tenant, they will look the other way and ignore.

HOA is useless, they pass the problem to the investor owner/realtor which for obvious reason do not care if their tenants cause chaos in the community. I call the cops all the time, they are the only ones notifying the problem tenants they are being monitored.

You do realize that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. My suggestion would be to move as that is what I would do if I had bad neighbors. I live in a really nice neighborhood and have never had any issues with neighbors.

NO! The lowlife tenants know the Police are keeping an eye on them and NO I'm not moving I own my place and live in a nice community, the investor owners are the ones ruining it for everyone and not just in my community but all over Clark County.

No. My suggestion would be to get on the HOA, and light a fire under the other HOA members asses, then go after the absentee owners.
