Just put up a blog on the REO situation.

Bottom line - so far no new slug of foreclosures and we are running very low on REO inventory.

See for yourself..

I hear there another 8,000 Las Vegas REO homes coming on the market between now and the end of June. We'll see if its true or a bunch of BS.

I heard 20,000. However that an 8,000 are probably absurd. The system might be able to hande 3,000 a month but I doubt it. So the real question is will the new foreclosures prove adequate to offset the present drop in inventory.

We are selling about 2700 REOs a month and reducing the inventory about 1200. So, if something significant is going to happen we need to stop or at least slow the drop in inventory. So far nothing. Watch the blog. It iwill become apparent there if it happens.

Inventory up past week (+503). My target areas have added several dozen properties in the last few days.

Again beware realtors bearing gifts. Do the research and you'll see we're entering another storm with walkaways, etc.
