I doubt parenting can prevent obsessive, compulsive behaviors. These are genetic. If someone is going to be a degenerate, there's little a parent can do, in this country anyway.

Degenerates who have obsessive compulsion? Well duh, yea I agree. We are not talking about degenerates, unless you think every last teen turns out that way. In my view the majority of regular developed people of this country don't turn out to be degenerates, and those teens are worth showing rights and wrongs. OK?

Again teens are very impressionable. Parents have more influence over children than anyone else through their first 20 years, whether you know it or not, like it or not, want it or not, so best to show them the right ways so they at least make good choices.

I guess you were home schooled... Not that there's anything wrong with that

According to this website, a few Michigan Indian tribe-owned casinos allow those under 21 to gamble:

The minimum gambling age is 19 at all five Kewadin casinos. plus the odawa casino resort in Petoskey. It is 21 at all other Indian casinos except for the following seven where it’s 18: Leelanau Sands, Turtle Creek, Island Resort, Ojibwa, Ojibwa II, Lac Vieux and Soaring Eagle. Valet parking is free at all casinos.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few California Indian tribe-owned casinos, that allowed those under 21 to gamble. I recall the gambling age is 19 in Canada, as well. Bingo games tend to only require someone to be 18 to play, as well.

Have him be sure to take some statistics classes in college - (applied to blackjack and casino games) - then bring him back when he is 21.
