People don't go to Vegas to stay out on the Boulder Highway. Downtown could work, but of course they've been charging for parking for decades.

If someone doesn't want to play the game the Strip casinos are selling, they should just blow off Vegas entirely, and find someplace else to spend their vacation money.

If nobody stayed on the Boulder Highway, it wouldn't be in business. So I guess they do go there.

My main purpose being on the Strip is eating and shopping.

Everybody has their own thing.

Parking at the Silver 7's would work too and you could walk to the strip
or just take the Palms shuttle to the Forum shops.

I don't know if it has other stops as I work at the Forum Shops till May 6... then its off to another bigger location at the Venetian.

Boulder Highway is mostly locals business. I would be surprised if any of those casinos would have hotel rooms if they weren't required to.

Just park at The Tropicana (Free) and walk (if you are not a lazy slob) to the strip or (if you are a lazy slob) Uber/Lyft to the strip.

I remember when locals were saying OMG parking fees will destroy Vegas and the sky is falling LOL. Apparently not and the fees are now becoming standard and we'll probably see more other fees and.......... the sky won't fall

Dunno about that. MGM, who started this trend, missed it's earnings estimates last quarter. So parking fees may not be the bonanza they had hoped it would be.

I don't think 15 threads on parking is enough

We should start a poll about starting more threads about parking

Then, after that thread, we should start another thread about what further threads we can start that have the word parking in them

Umm yeah, that's why they're going harder on paid parking, getting rid of "locals free" exception, etc. That's why the others are following MGM's lead. Because it's not working. They have the numbers. You don't.
