Lotus of Siam is such a good restaurant, but please dont go there to order cashew chicken/pad thai. Order their traditional northern dishes

I like Thai Food.

Just wondering why there's so MANY IN VEGAS...

I MEAN AN OVER ABUNDANCE!

It reminds me of West Los Angeles circa 1990's... but most have closed down..

Wonder if most in Vegas will also shut down eventually...

The qty seems to be excessive.. (not that it's necessarily a bad thing..)

Reasons..?
. Many Thai people have settled in Las Vegas?
* not sure why though...

. Las Vegas is trending like L.A., but 20yrs behind..?

I think 3 or 4 are from chefs that used to be a Lotus of Siam.
I know her son owns at least one.

Love having great Thai places here. And off the Strip.

I'm sorry to say that the Pad Kee Mao at original Thai Noodle House on Spring Mountain tastes so terrible and much worse than most places I've been in LA. Also not authentic. Meat not marinated.

My take is that a lot of people are moving out of California (Los Angeles/San Francisco) and they are recreating what was successful there. They are able to come here, run a business, make a living and purchase a home without having to give a body part or half of their earnings to the state.

This is good for us Nevadans because it puts money into the community that doesn't come from the casinos and we have a plethora of cultural foods to sample. It also increases diversity which makes southern Nevada look more like a metropolitan city versus an adult Disneyland. Sounds like you really dislike Thai food??
