I'm not sure if this area is called Sovana or SW or Spring Valley, but it shows up on the map as that. We move to Las Vegas in early Dec. and we are renting while we look at houses and figure out where to buy. We want to be no more than a 20 min commute to my husband's job (closer would be better). He works close to Rainbow and Sahara. We would also like to be no more than 25 min to UNLV.

Does anyone have any thoughts to share about the subdivisions popping up in that little SW pocket just inside of 215?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

I'm by that area. I like it. Walkability is bad though, you'll need a car to make a trip for milk. Also lots of empty parcels of land which will be developed in the future so don't necessarily count on a view of the mountains to the west if you buy on the western part of Sovana development.

Nice area of Spring Valley with new, under construction and existing developments and yes it is convenient driving to anywhere on the Strip, Red Rock Canyon for nature hikes, shopping and dining especially around the Arroyo Market Square area.

It's a bit north of me, but the SW seems to be busy growing (if you use constant road construction as any kind of guide). It seems the "newest", and seemed like a good place to us. So far, we're very happy with our decision.

Lots of new developments going up, housing, commercial and professional beween Spring Valley and Enterprise. Both towns are getting great developments and both towns have easy access to the Strip where majority of the work in Clark County is located with Spring Valley having a slight edge because of location. IKEA is right next door to SW with more commercial develpments going in the immediate area as well on Durango.
