You seem very naive about preexisting conditions and how different health status's effect insurance premiums. Be grateful you are in good health (for now).

I’m not naive, I just don’t want to pay for your health problems. I’m fine paying for mine. I don’t think it’s young people or healthy people’s job to pay for everyone else who doesn’t take good care of themselves. My attitude would be different if we lived in South Korea or Japan or Italy and people weren’t so hideously fat. I’m happy to have a system where if you’re just unlucky and through no fault of your own you have some rare disease or health issue, but I don’t want to pay double what I should be paying so you can eat McDonalds 5 times a day, avoid the gym, and pay no attention to your health. The reality is in this country the vast majority - at least 2/3 - of people are unhealthy because they’re either not smart enough or not disciplined enough to take care of themselves. If we made a system to punish those people and reward those of us who spend a lot of time on our health, I’d be all for that.
