I can't get CBS using an antenna. I live in the eastern part of Henderson. 5 miles east of Galleria Mall.
Idiot directv cut off my main HD box by mistake and couldn't get it back running. They did it from their offices. I was only activating another receiver in another room. That took 4 hours back and forth. Somehow they cancelled my main Genie receiver box. Tech coming out today ... super bowl sunday!! between noon and four pm unreal

Worst case, use the free trial then dump it after DTV gets you back up and running.

EDIT: side note: I successfully used YouTube TV as leverage to have DTV lower my monthly bill by $60/month.

I got rid of Cox cable about 7 months ago and went with Sling TV (Online streaming), blue and orange package, and I'm very satisfied. The cost is cheaper, the picture quality better and, since I watch a lot of sports, I get more sports on Sling TV then I did with Cox. I bought a Mohu leaf indoor antenna for my local channels. I had to find the right location for the indoor antenna but get ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX without issues. I had to retain my internet with Cox, but my overall setup now is less expensive than what I was paying with Cox for my 'bundle'.

To get Sling TV you need a smart TV or you can buy a fire stick. Sling will give you 7 days free trail period and if you don't like it, or can't get it working, cancel with no questions asked. I initially tried HULU but the channels were constantly freezing so I canceled it before the trail period.

Thanks for the info. That Mohu antenna.... you said you had to find the right location for it. It has to be connected to the tv so your limited on what location you place it at right? how long is the cord?

We are also in Henderson - CBS is the most difficult channel for us to get with our antenna - we have to constantly move it around.

CBS was the hardest for me as well. I was using a cheap antenna. Decided to buy a yago antenna, mount it in the attic, and now it comes in clear.

Being on the West side of Henderson, CBS and ABC are easy to get. FOX and NBC are difficult, PBS is spotty.
