Hi everyone,
Can anyone recommend a hotel in Las Vegas near the strip that would have good air quality for someone with environmental allergies (e.g., dust, smoke, animal dander)? Thanks!

You do realize that Las Vegas is famous for their occasional wind-blasters that terrorize the valley, bringing in that fine silica into your nostrils and mouth. Hard to avoid in any hotel you're staying in!

I was thinking the same thing - really difficult to stay away from dust when you're in the desert - especially a windy valley.

OP, I recommend you stay away from any hotel with a casino. Most major resort/casinos funnel all hotel traffic right through the casino. Though their air scrubbers work OK, you can not escape smoke while walking through a casino.

I would look at a big name hotel without a casino - Waldorf Astoria or Vdara, both in CityCenter, are excellent choices.

The smaller off-strip no-name places won't have the quality air filters that you require.

Either way, dust masks are your friends.

Yikes! I had no idea. Can you recommend any other hotels? I'm going on business and need to stick to $200 to $250 per night.

Are these "wind-blasters" seasonal? I'm going to Las Vegas the second week of March.

They're unpredictable. Best to bring a mask in case you're caught up in one!

YES! I just remembered that Trump Tower is both SMOKE-FREE and non-gaming.

I do not know of another resort hotel that is non-smoking.

Depends on where you are going to do business. Plenty of non casino hotels available, many typical business traveler brands around off Strip. None of them allow smoking but of course places like that aren't the reason people come to Vegas.
