And now we are having a snow rain mix in 89032. I guess this is round two.

About 8 inches at Lake Mead and 215. Most is gone now and a light rain/snow mix is falling.

Just made a run up Lake Mead from Rampart to the top. Fascinating. No snow at the bottom. 4 or 5 inches at the top. And when we came out of the clients house a little off the top at 5:30 it was snowing like mad.

You guys received a little bit to remind people what "winter" is like. Mt. Charleston climate sure is interesting, though.

I moved here from Salt Lake City, Utah to get away from this! Next week we are going to have normal weather that we have not seen since November. March starts on Friday, and we are looking at near 70 degrees with no rain forecasted for the next 10 days. This has been the worst winter ever since I have lived here.

It is hard to believe because they should have closed them today, not Friday.

We finally did get snow around 7 a.m that lasted for about 45 minutes coming down really good and sticking to surfaces like plants, tree's, roofs, our outside table and cars in the lot. Got some photo's to prove it happened, because it went away pretty fast and it was like nothing ever happened by around noon. It started snowing again around 2 p.m and we had to leave and I didn't want to, because I wanted to enjoy the snow. By the time we got back, it was over. Now that it's over and Spring is coming, I can say this is the best winter we have had for awhile. The last time it snowed in our area of 89084 was around late 2008, the blizzard at Aliante casino, back when it was Aliante Station and you could actually win there. The temperatures for long stretches in the 40's and 50's, made it finally feel like winter. Because our winter usually consists of low to mid 60's with a couple of 50 degree days thrown in for good measure. Bah humbug to anyone that hates snow.
