The EC is a ridiculous anachronism. It is continued only because there is a minority group with veto power who benefit from it.

A couple of states may be able to claim a right based on their trading off sovereignty for the EC. But that is only a couple of the states benefitting. The others were never sovereign.

so your good with free health care for illegals with the working people paying for it
you're ok for police officer to be able to shoot a criminal, it would have to be justified in using lethal force only if it were determined to be necessary to defend against imminent death or severe harm
you are for abortions at the time of delivery

im thankful for the EC, otherwise California and New York would control the direction that the country goes.

Come on - You can do better than that. Weird end right wing propaganda does not suit you...

And your response is breaking into mind dead. No I do not belief anyone should abort a viable infant. But neither do I believe it is any matter for the state until it breaths on its on... Hey maybe you really believe. Do you baptise your sperm when you masturbate or screw a woman who is not impregnable? Look at all those could be little babies dripping down your leg...

Marijuana is now legal in Nevada, so someone should be able to use it without fear that they cannot get a job. It is no different than alcohol. If you are impaired by either while you are working, you will still lose your job. If someone uses a little marijuana or drinks a few beers each night, and goes to work sober the next day, what is the problem? Employers have no business knowing what you do on your off time as long is it does not affect your work performance.

No, the hatred and stupidity is on the other side. The movement to get rid of the Electoral College started long before Trump, and will continue as long as needed, which may well be long after he is gone. That fact that he's the latest example of someone losing the popular vote but winning the EC is just happenstance to people who believe that the process itself is flawed given everything that has changed in the last two and a half centuries. It's only the Right who thinks this is directly related to Trump.
